Violin
Louise Chisson
A "rare talent", a "great technical mastery" and "above all a deep and remarkable musical personality", says Dora Schwarzberg about the young violinist Louise Chisson who has become through the years an original and multifaceted artist, displaying her outstanding abilities in the classical and romantic repertory as in the modern and contemporary music.
Born in Bordeaux, Louise Chisson started to play the violin at the age of three with Robert Papavrami. She was noticed at eight years old by Isaac Stern and three years later, Tibor Varga said to be "very impressed by the certain gift she shows for the violin". At seventeen she entered the class of Dora Schwarzberg at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she received her Master degree.
First Prize, all categories, of the Concours International des Jeunes Interprètes Lille-Wattrelos, winner of the Alfredo Zanella Violin Competition in Bologna, and prizewinner at the Henryk Szeryng Competition in Mexico. She has performed with numerous orchestras including the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, and the Deutsche Kammerakademie.
From 2015 Louise Chisson teaches at the Prayner Konservatorium in Vienna, and from 2020 at the Franz Schubert Konservatorium. In 2016 she founded with Tamara Atschba the Esperus Art Fund and Esperus Music Academy.
Piano
Tamara Atschba
Described by critics as an "incomparable, inspired pianist", Tamara Atschba grew up in a family of singers in Tbilisi, Georgia. At the age of four, she received her first piano and composition lessons. She continued her studies at the Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory, receiving four diplomas as a concert pianist, chamber musician, accompanist and teacher.
Winner of several competitions including the Dmitri Kabalewski Piano Competition, the Caucasian Piano Competition for Young Artists, and piano competitions at the Philharmony of Tbilisi. She has performed in Austria, Italy, France, Holland, Germany, Turkey, Russia, Israel, USA, Japan, Korea and Mexico at numerous international festivals.
Her exceptional artistry has been praised by Yehudi Menuhin, Zubin Mehta ("such a wonderful and powerful sound!"), Vladimir Ashkenazy ("an exquisite piano playing"), and Ivry Gitlis ("she is an amazing musician!").
Since 1995, Tamara Atschba has taught at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. From 2020, she is Professor at the Franz Schubert Conservatory in Vienna. She is Vice President and Artistic Director of the Esperus Art Fund.

A partnership forged through years of musical collaboration and a shared passion for excellence.

Louise Chisson and Tamara Atschba have been performing as a duo for over a decade, building a reputation for their extraordinary musical communication and interpretive depth.
In January 2020, they launched their concert cycle at the historic Ehrbar Hall in Vienna — the Esperus Concerts. That same year they signed with label Hänssler Klassik.
Their album "20th Century Feminine", released in 2021 and dedicated to women composers, received the Diapason d'Or, a Grammy® nomination, and was listed for the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik and OPUS KLASSIK.
